Would you like a vocal program for a special event, a Christening party or a birthday celebration? Are you looking for a soloist for Easter service at your church, a picnic, or a recital of classical songs? Vocalist Gudrun Brunot can be hired as a soloist to perform music in a variety of genres, be it Édith Piaf standards, haunting ballads, contemporary hits, or oldies, with recorded accompaniment of her own, as part of an ensemble, or with an accompanist of your choice.

Gudrun is a member of the Methow-based group Cruiscén Lán, which specializes in Celtic tunes. She has also participated regularly in the Methow Valley at events such as "the Fabulous Fall Follies," "Musicians of the Methow," “The Divas of the Methow Valley,” and at the St. Patrick's day celebrations at the Twisp Brew Pub. While living in the Bay Area, she has performed church solos, classical recitals, and concerts with pianists Dwight Okamura, Tim Fitzpatrick, Tom Herman, and James Meredith. Favorite classical genres include madrigals and early renaissance music, and works by composers such as Monteverdi, Händel, Purcell, Schubert, and Schumann. She has sung pop and country hits in restaurants, private homes, community centers, and coffee houses with guitarist Auri Naggar in tunes from shows like "Les misérables", "The Phantom of the Opera", and "The Lion King".

Private Voice Instructions

Gudrun is also available to teach music students who wish to explore and expand vocal talent. Basic techniques for good singing will be covered, and, if desired, different approaches for different musical genres. Lessons are an hour long to allow for a thorough vocal workout and exercises to improve posture and projection. Beginners will appreciate her playful exercises aimed at overcoming tension and improving confidence. More advanced singers will have the opportunity to explore different music styles and singing in languages other than English.
